The Book of Kells is the finest piece of Insular Art from the Early Middle Ages. Started on the Scottish island of Iona and probably finished at Kells in Ireland, this magnificent work of beauty was made around the year 800 against the backdrop of Viking raiding. This kilt pin is inspired by the herons or pelicans seen within its pages.
Premium quality hand cast pewter kilt pin with antique silver finish. The kilt pin is worn on the front of a kilt to prevent it lifting. Cast and finished at our workshop in Glasgow, Scotland, by our highly trained craftsmen.
